But that is the besides the point – the Eighties, in my mind, is the most creative and enjoyable period in pop music. There were so many cool groups around – Depeche Mode, Thomson Twins, Toto, Pet Shop Boys, Wham, U2, Crowded House,  and when Michael Jackson was still Michael Jackson. Full marks to those who know all the names mentioned.
